A New Expedition in Flavor: Amundsen’s British-Inspired Winter Menu
There’s a new wind blowing through our kitchen - one that smells faintly of cheddar, stout, and adventure.
This winter, Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri sets course for the British Isles, unveiling a brand-new menu inspired by classic British flavors, reimagined with Nordic precision and brewer’s creativity.
Because let’s face it - no one understands comfort food quite like the Brits.
And no one understands beer quite like us.
The New British Line-Up
Starters for the Curious
Begin your expedition with Roast Beef Crostini and horseradish dressing, or Soppkroketter — crispy mushroom croquettes with sriracha mayo and caramelized onion.
For a taste straight from the heart of London: Welsh Rarebit, our beer-infused cheese melt on grilled bread — the original comfort dish for explorers of flavor.
The Main Course of Your Journey
We brought the classics north and gave them a touch of Oslo:
· Fish & Chips, with tempura-fried cod, mushy peas, and house tartar sauce.
· Bangers & Mash, our homemade sausage with beer onion gravy — the kind of dish that feels like a pub fireplace in food form.
· Amundsen Burger, served in brioche with truffle mayo, provolone cheese, and bacon marmalade.
· Or go green with our Vegan Burger, built on a homemade patty and topped with guacamole.
And for those who like surprises, our weekly roast and pie specials (“Ukens Stek” and “Ukens Pai”) change with the season — and always come with a recommended pint.
Desserts Worth the Return Trip
The expedition ends sweetly:
Sticky Toffee Pudding with stout ice cream, or Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream — both made to pair with the darker side of our taps.
